Tooth extraction
I had my wisdom tooth extracted 3 days back...it was ok for the time being but on the 3rd day suddenly i have pain in my jaw and cheeks it goes till my ear, ear feels like hot...not unbearable pain, Is this concerning ? I went to the dentist on the 2nd day and he said everything is fine.

Yes it is alarming.pain on 3rd day indicates  dry socket in 90 percent of case and in other 10% bone spike can cause pain..check if the site is blackened instead of pink

Hi, The pain could be due to the healing tissues. Start with warm water rinses 3 to 4 times a day. Do not gargle your mouth vigorously. Go back for a review on the 7th day after the extraction.
