Hi.
I had habits of drinking excessive chocolate and going to bed with a 5* in my mouth. Therefore my right lower jaw, tooth number 2 from backside broke, first partially, then completely. Some root remains behind.
Before it was completely gone, 8 months ago, I was advised with a root canal treatment and capping. I'm a bit frightened about injection to the gums, so avoided. Now no tooth, only root.
Gum is growing up thickly around. No pain, because I stopped eating all irritating foods including non-vegetarian, artificial, chocolate and sweet. I chew carefully on the right, with usual vigour on the left.
Can anyone suggest if I can go on like this forever, or require a surgery to remove the tooth out ? Am a bit frightened about the surgery, even if necessitated.
Thanks :)

Sir..it sounds to be a grossly decayed tooth...as root canal treatment, was advised earlier, if ur tooth is still in a savable condition.. v can save it..by a RCT post N Crown. If possible visit a nearby dentist, u may not be able to leave it in d same condition for long.
Hope my opnion would help u.
Most of d dental tratments r not as painful as imagined..v have hell lot of advance technologies.
Grossly carious teeth(Badly mutilated teeth) are always a potential source of infection, that's why we Dentist clan will always suggest to get rid of it. Of course there have been reported cases in the literature where such teeth have been retained and also restored, having said that it's almost impossible to predict the future such a tooth. My honest plea would be to get whatever necessary done to avoid any future complications. Also today the level of dentistry is far more refined than earlier so no procedure is overtly painful but it's not completely painless either....God bless.
