Asthamatic medications such as a syrup and nebulizer make the individual prone for dental decay. Specially if the syrup is sugar based. Secondly most of this mediction reduce the salivary flow and end up in dry mouth again leading to teeth decay. Saliva is an important component that it not only moistens the mouth and but its vital enzymes prevent tooth/teeth decay. So best way to prevent damage is application of flouride based tooth paste and keeping your mouth moist with sipping of plain water.
