If your expected date of periods is today then starting Meprate 24 hours earlier will not work. You may get bleeding any day

You need to be treated that could be the reason for the pain
Any medicine to delay your period needs to be taken 3 days prior to the expected date of periods so it is unpredictable whether the medicine you took would delay your periods or not
