13 year old boy has Tonsil hypertrophy that is effecting eating, sleeping, speaking and daily life.
Kindly suggest remedy to try singly. Don't want to load multiple remedies on him.
Experience with 2 homeopaths personally consulting has been very bad. His mild symptoms became severe with their medication, and they don't ever accept feedback or change medicine that suits better. Now, we are not open to give medicines in blind. The remedies that are not suiting him will get repeated giving more pain and suffering. Since homeopaths are not sharing prescription even when we buy medicines in blind from them, this makes us go through same remedies and the suffering they are bringing from the next homeopath too.
So, happy to consult a homeopath online, but need prescription and openness to accept feedback and change.

Hello,
I can truly understand your concern and hesitation—when a child suffers and previous treatments have worsened symptoms, it naturally breaks trust. Thank you for explaining everything so honestly.
Tonsillar hypertrophy affecting eating, sleep and speech is not a minor issue and should not be treated blindly or aggressively, especially in a growing child. Your concern about not overloading medicines and preferring a single, well-selected remedy is absolutely valid and aligns with classical homoeopathic principles.
In homoeopathy:
Tonsillar hypertrophy is treated constitutionally, not just locally
Wrong remedy or over-repetition can indeed aggravate symptoms, as you’ve already experienced
One remedy, chosen carefully and reviewed regularly, is the correct approach
However, it would be unsafe and unethical to suggest a specific medicine publicly without:
Understanding the child’s general constitution
History of infections, sleep pattern (snoring, mouth breathing)
Appetite, thermal sensitivity, emotional state
Previous medicines and their reactions
The good news is that many children respond very well to correctly guided homoeopathic treatment, often avoiding surgery, when managed patiently and transparently.
👉 I would be happy to take up an online consultation, where:
Prescription is shared openly
Feedback is actively welcomed
Medicines are changed promptly if not suitable
Minimum medicines are used, with clear reasoning
Your child deserves gentle, responsive and accountable care—and that is possible.
Wishing your child relief and better health 🌿

Hello,
I truly understand your concern and frustration. When a child’s condition worsens instead of improving, it deeply affects both the child and the parent …and your hesitation to proceed without clarity is completely justified.
Tonsillar hypertrophy that is affecting eating, sleep, speech, and daily life needs to be handled very thoughtfully, especially in a growing child. In such cases, prescribing medicines blindly or changing remedies without understanding the child’s response can indeed lead to unnecessary aggravation.
In homoeopathy, there is no single “one-size-fits-all” remedy for enlarged tonsils. The correct approach is:
• Detailed case-taking (physical + general + emotional factors)
• Single, well-selected remedy
• Careful observation of response
• Open communication and readiness to modify the plan if needed
I follow a transparent and collaborative approach, where:
• The rationale of treatment is explained
• Feedback from parents is taken seriously
• Medicines are not repeated or changed blindly
• The child’s comfort and safety come first
Since your child’s symptoms are already significantly affecting quality of life, I would not recommend trial-and-error treatment online without proper evaluation. A structured consultation is essential to decide whether homoeopathy can help effectively in this case and how to proceed safely.
Next Steps
You are welcome to consult me on Practo, where we can discuss your child’s condition in detail and plan treatment with clarity, openness, and close follow-up.
Health Tips
• Prefer warm, soft, home-cooked food
• Avoid cold foods, ice creams, aerated drinks, and packaged/junk food
• Reduce excess sugar, chocolates, and bakery items
• Encourage warm water sips during the day
• Ensure proper sleep and rest
• Avoid dust,, and sudden temperature changes
• Maintain good oral hygiene
• Keep the child well-hydrated
• Encourage light physical activity as tolerated
• Observe sleep quality, appetite, and breathing pattern regularly
Without detailed symptoms it is not possible to prescribe right medicine.
I can give names of most useful ones.
1) Agraphis
2) Calc Iod
3) Baryta Iod
And with intercurrent Tuberculinum.
If you are confident enough to decide dosages and repetition on your own you can.
Hello.
There is no need to panic. Your child is curable with homoeopathy.
As u said that u have already consukted homoeopaths and the condition had worsen , so my question is was he better after aggravation and for how long have you taken medications before changing doctors?
Also need more details on symptom part so that i can help you with correct remedy to avoid further mess.
I understand your concern as a mother. When a childâs symptoms worsen during treatment and the doctor does not explain or adjust the prescription, it naturally breaks trust. Tonsil hypertrophy affecting eating, sleep, speech, and daily comfort is not a small issue, and your caution about not giving multiple medicines blindly is absolutely valid.
In homeopathy, especially in children, the correct approach is individualized single-remedy prescribing based on the childâs total picture â not just enlarged tonsils, but his:
tendency to recurrent infections
sweat pattern (head/neck?)
sensitivity to cold or heat
appetite and food preferences
sleep position and breathing (snoring, mouth open?)
emotional nature (shy, stubborn, anxious, irritable?)
history of suppressed infections or repeated antibiotics
When the right remedy is chosen, it should gradually reduce the frequency of infections, improve immunity, and over time reduce the tonsillar enlargement. If a remedy increases suffering significantly and continuously, it means either the potency, repetition, or remedy choice needs reassessment â and the physician must be open to feedback. Good homeopathic practice always includes follow-up modification.
If your child has:
difficulty breathing during sleep
choking episodes
pauses in breathing (possible sleep apnea)
severe difficulty swallowing
very frequent high fevers
then an ENT evaluation is essential alongside homeopathy. We must never delay emergency or surgical opinion when required. Homeopathy can often help avoid surgery, but the childâs airway safety always comes first.
If you wish to consult online, I follow a transparent approach:
Detailed case taking before prescribing
Single remedy at a time
Prescription shared
Regular follow-up and changes based on response
This condition requires constitutional treatment, not repeated local remedies for tonsils alone.
You may connect if you are comfortable, and we can evaluate whether homeopathy is suitable in your childâs case.

Your concern is completely understandable, especially given what your child has already gone through. Tonsillar hypertrophy that interferes with eating, sleep, speech, and daily activities is a significant problem in a 13-year-old.
In homoeopathy, there is no universal remedy for tonsil enlargement. Treatment must be individualised, and giving medicines blindly—even commonly suggested ones like Baryta carb, Calcarea carb, Lycopodium, Mercurius, etc.—can aggravate symptoms.
Your expectations of:
Single-remedy prescribing ,Clear, written prescriptions ,Openness to feedback and adjustment
are entirely reasonable and
Homoeopathy can help when done correctly, individually, and ethically.
My way of prescribing is careful, transparent, and patient-centred. I do not believe in blind treatment or giving multiple remedies, especially in children.
I prescribe one medicine at a time, based strictly on the child’s symptoms and constitution, and I share the prescription clearly. Your feedback is important to me—if a medicine does not suit, it is reviewed and changed thoughtfully, not repeated.
Homoeopathy should reduce suffering, not increase it. My aim is gentle, safe improvement with close observation and open communication. If you are looking for an ethical, individualised, and open approach, I would be glad to help.
