Hi. This is due to traumatic injury again and again in that area. I can see you wearing splints or night guards on lower teeth. For detail discussion contact me on personal chat box.
Next Steps
Visit dentist for evaluation of any sharp teeth in that area and if sharp tooth present then you can go for slight enameloplasty first to resolve your problem

Hello sir, this kind of a lesion is considered to be a traumatic injury from your adjacent tooth which means the tooth near by to the tongue lesion spot, I can see the soft splint on top of your lower teeth so that will help you but still we need to wait and watch for the improvement. Have a regular visit to your dentist to check the improvement.
Next Steps
If the sharp teeth cause you a problem again you can go for root canal treatment with a crown on to the tooth.
Health Tips
Have a healthy lifestyle, Have a good healthy diet, Try not to stress yourself, giving it some time is the key.

Red lesions at this position of the tongue usually suggest trauma(injury) to the tongue from nearby sharp tooth structures or improper biting, if you are aware that you are biting your tongue, this could be the reason. If not, there can be many other reasons for reddish area on the base of tongue. Kindly visit a Oral Medicine doctor at the earliest for evaluation
