Soft Diet would be great for such a TMJ problem. But please do see an Oral Surgeon to assess if any intervention is required. They can give you a splint (transparent mouth guard) to reduce load on the TMJ & guide the teeth.
Next Steps
Start soft diet for a month. Take some muscle relaxants if pain persists or see an Oral Surgeon.
