Tibia fubula broken - undergone surgery
Undergone surgery 20 days back in sancheti. Implanted titanium rod. Now stitches have neen removed. Able to do basic exercise but not weight bearing yet. But my concern is skin color at lower leg near stitches is turning slight black and swelling is not gone fully yet. Please somebody advise is it worrying factor??

Swelling after surgery for fracture takes time to settle. Skin blackening may need some inspection. Weight bearing should not be done unless advised by operating surgeon. Please post pics of X-rays and skin condition for further advise.

Please check with your Surgeon. He will be the best person to advise you because these skin problems in the leg should not be taken lightly or wait for messaging advice . Since your Surgeon has seen the skin since the beginning he will be able to suggest you whether this will heal on its own or needs doing skin grafting

Don’t worry change in skin colour and swelling is part of inflammatory response of body that will go with time keep non weight bearing till your doctor say to put wt on your leg
