Antacids can be taken continuously for 6 weeks. Upto two months is Ok.
Generally you will need to taper and stop the medications within the above said time.
Which means taking on alternate days for 2 weeks and then stop.
For LPR the main treatment is life style modifications
Early dinner atleast 2 hours before sleep.
To sit upright for 2 hours after dinner. If possible walk for 30min after dinner.
Sleep in a 45deg head rise position. Preferably on left lateral side.
No spicy, oily non veg food at night.
Medicines are supportive. Life style modifications is the permanent solution.

If you have already taken Rabemac for 1 month you can continue it for another two weeks and do the life style modifications as suggested. After two weeks along with life style changes take the medicine on alternate days and then stop.
