Throat pain after drinking and vomiting
I recently drank a large amount of Bacardi without much dilution and vomited several times afterward. Since then, I have had throat pain and some tongue soreness. I want to know whether this could be due to alcohol irritation, dehydration, or stomach acid from vomiting. I currently do not have chest pain or breathing difficulty. Please advise whether I need any treatment or examination.

your symptoms can plausibly be from direct alcohol irritation plus stomach acid irritating the throat/tongue after repeated vomiting. Alcohol can also contribute to dehydration.
Next Steps
Take frequent small sips of water/ORS and eat soft, non-spicy foods,Antacids. Examination is reasonable if the throat/tongue pain is not improving over several days, or if swallowing becomes painful/difficult.
Health Tips
Urgent medical care if you develop blood/coffee-ground vomit, black stools, severe chest/abdominal pain, difficulty swallowing or breathing, fainting, or worsening symptoms.

Dear Patient, What you are experiencing is very common. The soreness is a combination of direct alcohol irritation, harsh stomach acid from vomiting, and dehydration.  Since you have no chest pain or breathing issues, you can manage this at home Hydrate well: Sip cool water or electrolytes frequently to rehydrate and soothe the mucosa.  Salt water gargles: Rinse with warm salt water 3–4 times daily to reduce throat inflammation. Bland diet: Stick to soft, non-spicy, and non-acidic foods (like yogurt, warm soup, or porridge) for 2–3 days. Please seek in-person evaluation if you develop severe pain while swallowing liquids, fever, persistent vomiting, or any blood in your vomit or stool. With rest and proper hydration, your throat should heal within a few days!Take care

Hello, Your throat pain and tongue soreness can occur due to irritation from alcohol and repeated vomiting, along with dehydration and acid reflux. Keep yourself well hydrated, avoid alcohol/spicy or acidic foods for a few days, and take warm salt-water gargles. If symptoms are severe/persistent, or you develop difficulty swallowing/breathing, severe chest pain, blood in vomit, or worsening symptoms, please get examined by a doctor promptly. Regards, Dr. Pratiksha Sahani

Throat and tongue soreness after heavy drinking and repeated vomiting is usually from acid irritation and dehydration, not something more serious. Since your breathing feels normal and nothing else concerning has come up, this is likely to settle on its own over a few days.
Next Steps
Sip water frequently and avoid alcohol and spicy food until your throat feels normal again.
Health Tips
Please see a doctor in person if you notice blood in your vomit, worsening pain, or trouble swallowing.
