Throat inflammation
Since past 2 weeks my throat has been hurting. It started with sore throat and runny nose and cough but it got better. No fever or runny nose now but throat still feels scratchy. The pain has reduced greatly but i feel more discomfort at night and when i wake up. I am doing salt water gargles everyday but why is the issue still there after 2 weeks. I have no other symptoms. I live abroad and the doctor has given me medicines saying acute pharyngitis. Is there something more to this? Please guide me.

I suggest you visit an ent and get your throat examined again. Most likely your throat infection hasn’t resolved. Incase you’re a smoker, quit. Also avoid everything cold. If the infection isn’t responding to the current treatment, u may have to change your medicines too. Please consult an ent.
