Throat Infection and high fever

Asked for Female, 35 Years

My child is suffering from throat infection and high fever for the past two days. 4 doses of clamp kid forte already given, along with febrinil for high fever, but the fever comes and goes. My family doctor has told to discontinue Clamp Kid and start Syrup Pecef 100. Is syrup Pecef more effective than Clamp Kid forte? Pls. suugest

Hi thanks for writing to Practo consult Fever of more that 2 days , is it documented? How much is fever? If I were your treating doctor, and if there was DOCUMENTED fever I would have investigated baby for blood and urine infection and then take rest decision.
