There is red spot on toungue
Hello sir i hve a red spot on left side of toungue. I noticed it befor six months. It's burning while eating spicy and there is some pain on that side also. Visited dentist they told me it's normal becs it is very flat.. I am very tensed what to do. It's not any ulcer type.

Where exactly is the redness on your tongue? A picture can help understand your symptoms in a better manner. Do you use a metallic tongue scraper to clean your tongue? Or do you have any old crown in your mouth or do you grind or clench ur teeth during sleep, that might also explain the redness on the lateral surface of tongue. Again any habit of chewing or smoking tobacco can also be related in this scenario.

Red spot on tongue may be due to bacterial, viral and fungal infections. Herpes infections, stress ,vitamin deficiency also can cause this.topical antibiotics along with multivitamin supplements has to be taken. Do warm saline rinses.you can consult me through this for prescription of medication. Thanks
