Tetnas needed ?
Hello Doctor, I got a scratch/cut from a folding iron bed at home that had some rust. It caused around 2–3 drops of blood but was not a deep puncture wound. I cleaned it, and it has now been over 48 hours. My tetanus vaccine dates are 27 Nov 2025 and 21 Mar 2026. My childhood tetanus vaccination history is unknown. Some doctors have advised me to take another tetanus shot, while others have said it isn’t necessary. According to current guidelines, should I take another tetanus vaccine now, or should I simply complete my third primary-series dose later?
