Hi
The treatment will depends on in which level the root gets broken..When it is broken near apical third, the prognosis is good and no need of any treatment except the simple periodic observation...
if it is broken near cervical third of the teeth or middle third then you need to go for root canal treatment
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for furthur clinical examination and management

Talk to experienced dentist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
First and foremost, how/where have you kept the broken tooth?
If its in a dry condition, it might have become brittle already. If you have kept it in saline/milk/saliva its good to go.
It also depends on where is the breakage as compared to gum. As in, where exactly above or below the gum. If there is good amount above the gum, there is a good posibility to retain same tooth.
But there are less chances of this happening.
There are crowns which look like natural tooth available, you can go for them.
Visit a dentist and he will tell you better.
