Hello sir.... No need to worry.. It is not harmful...The pain is due to high points... if the pain still persists then you need to do furthur reduction of high points....As the metal portion is exposed only on occlusal portion... it wont be unesthetic one
Next Steps

Metal exposure is commonly encountered while trimming a porcelain fused to metal crown...it is not harmful by any means unless the crown has got  perforated due to excess trimming...You would feel a little unusual for 2-3 days after crown cementation but there shouldn't be any high points in the crown...if u feel that the cemented crown is touching the opposite teeth first on biting thereby leaving a gap between the other teeth then please do get the issue resolved soon.. if high points are still existing, then little more trimming and finishing would be required..in the worst case u may have to get the crown replaced...follow up appointment is mandatory..
Next Steps
Have a follow up done with ur dentist after 2-3 days...

Please visit your dentist to make the correction so that you do not feel the crown high. Do not worry for the chipping off of the ceramic as it does not cause any problem with chewing or inside the mouth. But the high points should be completely removed.
Next Steps
Visit the dentist for the adjustment
