1 or 2 millimetres is not considered as a very minimal gap. A complete case evaluation and arch analysis is required to plan the treatment, and that will define the duration of the treatment as well as the cost. And there are two basic modalities for orthodontic treatment-- the conventional braces treatment and clear aligners. The duration of treatment is approximately the same in both these modalities but the cost varies because of their advantages and disadvantages. Talk to your orthodontist about the applicability of each option in your case and have a discussion about the cost after the earth analysis is over. Regards

Hello, you need to consult a dentist, who after examining you can suggest you the best treatment plan for you. Options to close minor gaps are- 1. Orthodontic treatment: clear aligners (50-70K) usually take 6-8months for minor gaps. Metal braces (25-35K), ceramic braces(30-45K) are the other options in ortho treatment but they would be more intensive ones. After completion of ortho treatment, you will be required to wear a removable retentive plate or you can have a fixed bonded retainer for an year. 2. Veneers: composite (4-5K per tooth) or ceramic (10-14K per tooth). Composite veneers tend to take up stains over a period of time. Ceramic ones are almost for lifelong. 2. Surgical intervention may be required if you have thick frenum in between the upper front teeth causing gap. It may be then followed by ortho treatment or veneers.
