Consult with a doctor
Online now
Your sugars are still higher than the desired range, but the good news is that this can be improved with proper adjustment of treatment. Your current weight (116 kg at 167 cm) indicates significant obesity, which itself can make diabetes more difficult to control. If you are taking oral semaglutide 3 mg, please discuss the dose with your treating doctor because this is generally the initial dose and may not provide the full glucose/weight benefit. Please don't increase it on your own. Some of your other medicines may also contribute to difficulty losing weight, so your complete medication list should be reviewed by your physician.
Next Steps
Please repeat HbA1c, fasting/post-meal glucose, kidney function and liver tests and discuss your treatment with a diabetologist/endocrinologist. If your diabetes and weight remain difficult to control, your doctor can consider optimizing semaglutide or another GLP-1/GIP-based treatment and a structured weight-management plan.
Health Tips
Don't get discouraged because your weight is stable right now. With the right treatment and a sustainable diet, significant improvement is possible. Aim for gradual weight loss rather than crash dieting, and add regular walking/physical activity as much as you can.
