Glimestar M2 Forte contains two medicines, glimepiride and metformin, both used to control blood sugar. It should be taken just before or with your main meal, usually breakfast, if you take it once daily.
Taking it before food helps glimepiride work properly as it lowers blood sugar after meals. Taking it along with food helps metformin reduce stomach upset or acidity. Do not take it on an empty stomach or long after eating.
If you ever feel dizziness or weakness after the dose, take a small snack and check your sugar levels, as it can sometimes cause mild low sugar.
