Hello, i can very well appreciate her situation right now. Along with that i am surprised to know that first premolar has erupted and even got a cavity. The ideal age of eruption of first premolar is 10-12 years. Anyhow, i would like to see an xray of the tooth to confirm to diagnosis. This will allow me to see if there is a infection under the tooth, or the extent of caries. Incase of infection we can prescribe antibiotics and pain relievers.
Next Steps
Send a picture of xray.

RCT for a child is totally painless and if the child is cooperative it is a simple filling procedure . Pain reduces immediately after the procedure .It is not a premolar and should be her deciduous first molar that will shed roughly around 9-11 yrs of age . So pls take her to a pedodontist and get the procedure done without fear and it takes only 15-20 mins and a stainless steel crown is usually placed after completing the pulp treatment . She can attend her exam without any problem as it is better to get rid of pain rather than suffer from it. There is No need for any rest or medical leave after the procedure if that is what you are worried about .
