Swelling in cheek near the surgery point
Sir, I had mouth cancer at my cheek, whose surgery has been done last year. Recently it is observed that swelling is observed just beside the surgery point regularly after an interval of a month. I had regularly visit to doctor who has done the surgery, he is unable to find out the cause by physical verification. How and what is the probable cause of swelling. Is it mere allergy or my cancer is coming back.

There are a few possible reasons: - local infection - local post op liquid collection - tumor recurrence What you need to find out is whether it is growing in size over time. And what is the CT or MRI showing about this swelling. If you can upload a picture, that might help us.
Next Steps
PET CT +/- MRI Needle test from the swelling
Health Tips
Be hopeful that it may not be tumor recurrence but evaluation is a must
