Swelling of gum tissue is more common in lower teeth and it usually happens around your wisdom teeth, the third set of molar teeth that most people get in their late teens or early 20s. Bacteria can get trapped under gum tissue growth over a partially erupted wisdom tooth causing infection and inflammation. however, thorough clinical and radiographic examination is necessary for definite diagnosis and treatment.
Next Steps
Visit the dentist for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
Health Tips
Maintain good oral hygiene. Brush twice daily and floss once a day. Do warm salt-water rinses.

Good afternoon mam, I have gone through your description. I think your wisdom is erupting. Wisdom tooth is erupting between age of 17-25 years. Erupting Wisdom tooth causes swelling gums. It causes pain while chewing amd swallowing. Pain sometimes radiating in ear head and neck. For pain relief you can do, Warm salt water gargles three times a day. Do brushing over that area where wisdom tooth is erupting. You may have pain or bleeding while brushing is should be ok. Don't get food stuck over that are, make it completely clean it will give you relief from pain. You can take Capsule Mox 500Mg 3times a day for 3days. Tablet Brufen 400mg 3 times a day for 3 days. Avoid medicines if you have allergy from penicillin and ibuprofen.

It sounds like the gum over the wisdom tooth is getting swollen and causing this pain. We will need a X ray to confirm the positioning of the wisdom tooth and then decide the treatment appropriately.  Meanwhile, you can start doing some warm saline rinses and use a mouthwash in that area.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist and go ahead with X ray
Health Tips
Use of a topical ointment like Metogyl gel ( Twice daily ) for relief
