That sounds incredibly uncomfortable, and I’m sorry you’re going through this. Since the swelling and fever have persisted beyond your usual recovery time, it’s important to get this checked by a medical professional as soon as possible. Persistent swelling, eye pain, and fever could indicate an infection or an underlying issue that needs prompt attention. If the symptoms are worsening, or if you’re experiencing vision changes, increased redness, or difficulty moving the eye, it’s even more critical to seek medical care without delay. In the meantime, avoiding touching or rubbing the eye, applying a cold compress to reduce swelling (if it’s not making the pain worse), and staying hydrated might offer some relief. But given your medical background, you’d know that addressing the root cause is what really matters here.
