I had a baby 6 months ago and I'm still breastfeeding. Post delivery I was still taking my prenatal vitamins, calcium and vitamin d supplements. I got my blood test done recently and my vitamin b12 levels were really high so I stopped taking the prenatal vitamins and calcium (shelcal xt). My iron and calcium levels were also ok in the report. I wanted to ask - should I continue taking iron and calcium supplements considering I'm breastfeeding? What all supplements should I take? Can you recommend please? Attaching a photo of my prenatal vitamin and wondering if that's causing the high levels of b12

Iron supplements after 6 months of child birth is recommended if you are diagnosed to have iron deficiency anemia. Iron in breast milk is enough for a baby.
Calcium is maintained in your blood and breast milk, the need is, Vit D level should be in the normal range, if not then it's enough to take only Vit D supplement, there is lot calcium in our food to get absorbed from your gut, in the presence of Vit D.
For infants we should give daily Vit D drops since birth, to fulfill their daily requirement for their calcium metabolism. You can connect online to clear your doubts about nourishment and supplements.
It is better to continue taking your Iron and Calcium supplements. You can't get overloaded by Iron and Calcium.
You may get your Vit D3 and B12 level tested after three months and further management as per the report.
The photo of the prenatal vitamin isn't appearing here.
We usually recommend continuing calcium and vitamin d combination supplements as long as you breast feed (1.5-2 years) and iron supplements till 6 months after delivery. No other supplement is recommended.
