Sugar level in 28 to 32 weeks
My blood sugar levels were well controlled in the second trimester, with 1-hour post-meal readings below 140 mg/dL. However, after entering the 28th week of pregnancy, my sugar levels suddenly started increasing despite continuing with my usual insulin dose. Even after increasing the dose by 2–3 units, my 1-hour post-meal readings are still around 160–180 mg/dL. Is it normal for insulin resistance to increase between 27 and 32 weeks of pregnancy, causing blood sugar levels to rise suddenly? Shal i continue to increase insulin dose to bring value below 140

It is normal for sugar level to rise from 28th week due to insulin resistance but you have to control your sugar level with proper diet, exercise and if required elevated insulin doses

Yes it is expected for values to go deranged as the pregnancy progresses Rather than self medication you should connect with the physician for sugar control

Yes it is very common for sugar levels to increase after 26-28 weeks of pregnancy also if you are pre diabetic than it might be possible that your insulin needs to be increased with proper blood sugar charting and as per endocrinologist advise only I advise you to consult your endocrinologist as well as gynaec consultation for the same . Also it is advised to go for Fetal growth Doppler scan at 28 weeks
