Sufferring from knee pain and fatigue
I am sufferring from a general fatigue and knee pain since last 1 year. X-Ray and MRI scan of the knee did not show any significant findindings apart from mild effusion at knee joint. Recently done a blood test. Vit D3 is 14.1 ng/ml. TSH is 7.84 uIU/ml. Total cholesterol is 214 mg/dl. I am a non-smoker and do not take any regular medicine. My doctor suggested a weekly 60K course of Vit D3 for 8 weeks along with daily Shelcal 500 to continue. No thyroid medicine is suggested. However the lethargy and fatigue is still there with occassional palpitations. Is any dose of thyroxine required or any other medications? Please suggest

A slight effusion in the knee joint could cause pain, but the cause should be determined if the MRI does not show any other changes.Generally if the t3,  t4 are normal and the TSH is elevated,it known as subclinical hypothyroidism.Treatment is initiated when the TSH is above 10 and if any symptoms  related to hypothyroidism are present.
