You are most likely dealing with a viral fever, which commonly causes high temperature, body weakness, headache, and fatigue for 3–5 days. Since your fever is touching 101 and you are feeling weak, it’s important to manage it properly so you recover faster.
Next Steps
• Take Paracetamol 650 mg (full tablet, not half) every 6–8 hours if the fever is above 100°F or if body pain is severe. • Drink plenty of fluids -warm water, ORS, coconut water, soups -to prevent dehydration, which itself can worsen weakness and headache. • Take good rest and avoid physical exertion. • You may also take Cetirizine 10 mg at night if there is a cold or body ache accompanying the fever. • Eat light, easy-to-digest foods (khichdi, dal rice, toast, fruits).
Health Tips
Warning signs that need immediate in-person evaluation: Fever persisting beyond 3–4 days Severe headache with vomiting Breathlessness Very low urine output Extreme weakness
