First of all, Do not worry regarding addiction or dependence of these medications because when a person takes these medications on his own without proper guidance on a very higher dose or for a long time then dependence develops.Your doctor prescribed on minimum effective dose, so don't adjust dose on your own otherwise effects or response you are feeling will be lost, next time higher dose will be needed for the same treatment. When symptoms improve, medication will be tapered one by one gradually as per symptoms profile& response

Thank you for opening up. What you’re feeling is very common—many people experience a lot of fear and overthinking when they’re first told they have high BP or any health condition. It’s not just the body reacting, it’s the mind racing ahead—worrying about the future, the family, and worst-case scenarios. And when that mental load becomes heavy, medication may give some short-term relief, but it doesn’t teach your mind how to cope, stay calm, or break the anxiety loop. That’s why therapy is so important. It helps you understand why these thoughts come up and how to manage them long term—without always depending on outside help. Through therapy, we work on calming your body’s alarm system, challenging health anxiety thoughts, and building confidence in your body again. It’s not just about removing negative thoughts—it’s about training your mind to feel safe even when those thoughts come. Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s good to hear that you’re feeling better after starting the treatment. Based on what you've shared: Nexito (Escitalopram) is an antidepressant that helps with anxiety and stress. It is not addictive, but it needs to be taken regularly and tapered off slowly under medical supervision when stopping. Clonazepam (Cloam) is a benzodiazepine, which can cause dependence if used long-term or not tapered properly. It’s usually prescribed for short-term use (like 2 weeks) to manage acute anxiety symptoms.
Next Steps
Please continue to follow up regularly with your psychiatrist. They will assess how you are doing and decide how long you need to continue the medications. Do not stop the medications abruptly, especially Clonazepam, as it can cause withdrawal symptoms.
Health Tips
If you feel significantly better, don’t stop treatment on your own. Instead, speak with your doctor about the possibility of tapering or adjusting medications safely.

You're taking: Nexito 5 mg (Escitalopram) – for anxiety/stress. Not addictive. Needs 2–6 weeks to work fully. Usually taken for 3–6 months. Cloam 0.5 mg (Clonazepam) – gives quick relief. Can be habit-forming if used long-term. Usually used for 2–4 weeks only. Current status: You’ve used them for 2 days and are feeling better – that’s a good sign. Advice: Don’t stop on your own. Continue as your psychiatrist advises. Nexito is safe long-term. Cloam should be used short-term only. Use stress-reduction techniques like exercise, sleep, and deep breathing.

Hi Sir. I would like to tell you that duration of taking these medications is usually 6-9 months on an average. But if the patient recovers early we can stop them around 4 months too. But it all depends on the psychiatrists’ evaluation and their opinion on stopping the medicines. I recommend you to not stop the medicines without consulting psychiatrist first. Secondly, clonazepam that you are taking, that should be stopped in a tapering form within 2 weeks. That is again, a call that a psychiatrist should be taking. Tapering will be done by a practitioner only.
Next Steps
You should consult once your prescription gets over.
Health Tips
Do not discontinue the medicines on your own, without consulting.
