Hi,
I am mother of 3 year old daughter. I had bleeding for 20 days after delivery. I have not got periods after that. I have a history of high prolactin for which I took medications before my pregnancy. Is this a case of early menopause?

You might need a thorough evaluation for this amenorrhea but high level of prolactin can lead to anovulation and hence amenorrhea or absence of periods . Please consult online for better guidance
High level of serum prolectin are not indicator of menopause, do beta hcg and serum prolectin test and thyroid profile..
You have specific history that is needed further evaluation, first go for it..

With sr prolactin high, cycle can be irregular but 3 yrs is a very long . first check pregnancy by simple urine pregnancy test kit with early morning urine sample and consult a doctor for medicines to get periods after proper examination
Do a pregnancy test with morning sample fasting urine . If negative start Tablet Meprate 10 mg twice a day for 5 days. You will get your periods after you stop taking the medication after 7 days.
Next Steps
If still no periods
1. Serum Prolactin
2. Ultrasound pelvis done for uterus tubes and ovaries and endometrial thickness
3. Serum LH and FSH fasting levels
4. Serum TSH fasting levels
Health Tips
Take a boiled egg daily
Take 3 fruits of your choice daily
Sleep for 8 hours with light off at bedtime
Take 3-4 litres of water daily
