Anxiety and depression is common emotional state that happens with everyone in their lifetime (if they are really a human). Do you want to control it? Sorry, u just can’t do it and it is waste of time for trying it. It can make it even worse. But, you can evade it. Here is how: Mindset. Sometimes in life you can’t change the situation or change others. But, you can change your mindset. One of the best way of thinking is knowing the fact that “This Too Shall Pass”. Relation. Spend your time with people who close to you, respect you and understand you. Spending our time with loved ones increases our mood and happiness level while depression and anxiety depletes it. So, it can help to balance it out. Physical exercise. Most people underestimate value of exercise and its impact to our brain. Doing a regular exercise not just make us healthier but it can boost endorphin levels in our brain which uplifts our mood. Learning something new. Learning something new not just distracts our brain from overthinking because of depression, but it can also lift our confidence and interest for life. It can be anything we passionate about whether it playing music instrument, cooking, coding or even writing. Self-gratitude. Most of the time, we tend to pay our attention to what is visible, but can’t detect what is not apparent. (maybe its in our nature). Think of all the good things life has given you not just things like wealth or family. For instance, some people spend their entire day only to get their basic needs like food and water, not even shelter or people with disability, serious illness and etc. These are some suggestions to divert your mind from negative emotional feelings, although, I mention it again. you can deliberately control your anxieties. After all it is just feelings and has no effect on you unless you allow it by overthinking. Here is another one of my favourite quotes from Mark Twain: “Worrying is like paying a debt you don’t own”. I hope it helps.
