Sudden Mental Fatigue
Hello, I have been feeling heavy headed and mentally tired for some weeks now. But yesterday, all of sudden I had such an intense mental exhaustion that I had to lie down and close my eyes to feel better. I am on clonazepam(.25) and rexipra(.15) daily. Regards Mohit

Hi Mohit, I can understand your concern. Hope you are not having any persistent unwanted thought which is leading to mental exhaustion. Generally when we are stuck with thoughts we feel mentally and physically tired as our brain is investing so much of energy in it. I believe in any case you can try a structure of new hobbies to feed your mind some energy boosters. Please feel free to approach if you need help for the same. Another important point is to keep a follow up with your doctor regarding medicines. Hope you are doing so .if not please do it. Do not decide to be delayed. You can always get help on time from professionals.
Next Steps
1. Visit your doctor immediately for follow up. 2. Visit a Psychologist to discuss details of your issues.

Continue your medicines, along with it, consult a psychological Counselor also.. Maybe, you by sharing your feelings or the issues with them, you might get some clarity and you might even be able to overcome this issue..

Hi.. Both the medications you have mentioned are Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI's) Antidepressants. I hope the diagnosis (depression) you have mentioned is based on a detailed Psychiatric evaluation. What you have explained in terms of physical symptoms (heavy headed, mentally tired and exhausted, need to liedown, close eyes to feel better, etc.) sound like a mild panic attack, if you mean you experienced a feeling of crumbling down, breathing heavily or lowly, sweating heavily, etc.  Depression and Anxiety/Panic comorbid quite often. So no need to worry. But you may get yourself checked by a General Physician (doctor) for any other underlying physiological condition.
Next Steps
Start taking Counselling Sessions from a Psychologist along with your medication. Therapy and Medication go side-by-side in the treatment of Depression/Anxiety.
