Geriatric nutrition: it should contain soft diet and energy rich foods. Foods should be well cooked and soft in texture. Promote more liquid consumption. Eat appetizing foods like soups. Have more frequent meals

There are many causes of swelling in body...she/he is 90 years old....so full body checkup is necessary....and would be better that u consult with a dietitian specified in this case or any RD

Dear Ma’am, Swelling issue may be due to low albumin level or due to kidney malfunction etc. Kindly connect in person with some reports like BP, Sugar, LFT, KFT, etc. We would like to know his/her food intake and condition to chew food. Accordingly we can plan a personalised diet plan.

Hi, Avoid using raw or uncooked foods. Foods should be cooked well & in soft texture so that not much efforts are needed to chew & digest at this age & stage. Avoid outside food & give home cooked meals the most.
