Stomach infection found in stool test
I was having back pain and gas trapping issue so doctor advised a stool test. It had presence of pus cells so i am now asked to take antibiotics. Are antibiotics necessary if my only issues are back pain and difficulty passing gas?

There are different types of stool analysis One for infection in gastrointestinal tract where you will have diarrhea and abdominal pain Other one is for to find out particular bacterial presence(H.pylori) in your stomach where you will have upper abdomen pain gaseous distension for long time.If it's detected your doctor will prescribe 3 different types of medicine ,2 of them are antibiotics., typically given for 2 weeks.
