Your symptoms (gurgling, discomfort, watery stool 1–2 hours after eating) started suddenly 2 days ago. Most likely cause: viral gastroenteritis (stomach bug) or mild food poisoning. Other possibilities: food intolerance (e.g., lactose) or temporary digestive upset. Stay hydrated — sip water, ORS (oral rehydration solution), or clear broth frequently. Eat bland foods: banana, plain rice, applesauce, toast (BRAT diet); avoid dairy, spicy, oily, or high-fiber foods. Rest and avoid heavy meals for now. You can consider loperamide (Imodium) if needed, but only if no fever or blood in stool. Most cases improve in 3–5 days without treatment. See a doctor soon if: fever, severe pain, blood in stool, vomiting, dizziness, or symptoms worsen.

The symptoms you are describing are most consistent with an acute disturbance of the gut, commonly due to mild gastroenteritis, food intolerance, or an imbalance of gut bacteria. When the intestines are irritated, food moves faster than normal through the bowel, which causes gurgling sounds (increased bowel movements) and watery stools within 1–2 hours after eating. This can also happen after eating outside food, oily or spicy meals, contaminated food or water, recent stress, or a short-term viral infection. Since this has been present only for the last 2 days and there is no mention of fever, blood in stools, severe abdominal pain, or vomiting, it is most likely an acute and self-limiting condition. Dehydration can worsen symptoms, so adequate fluid intake is important. Light, easily digestible foods such as rice, curd, banana, toast, and avoiding oily, spicy, or dairy-heavy foods for a few days usually helps.
Health Tips
If the watery stools continue beyond 3–4 days, if there is blood or mucus in stool, high fever, severe weakness, or if abdominal pain increases, then medical evaluation and stool tests may be required. Good luck!
