Stolin R Toothpaste
I had surgical extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth one month back and recovering well.
My dentist has prescribed me STOLIN-R Toothpaste.
I would like to know does it have any side effects like staining of teeth?
How long must it be used?

I usually prescribe it for 2-3 weeks and then stall the use for some time. It is prescribed to strengthen the gums and for to an extent prevention of caries due to the fluoride content in the same. .
Please do the same and it should not be used continuously

You should not use medicated toothpastes for longer durations than prescribed. It usually doesn't stain teeth. It is basically prescribed if you have sensitive teeth along with beeding gums. Its better to take appropriate treatment rather than relying on usage of toothpastes for long.

Stolin R is like most tooth pastes by providing fluoride release and will help restoring (to an extent) hydroxy apatite crystals in your enamel. As an astringent it’s given to strengthen your gums. It would have been suggested and not mandated. Based on your history the doctor would have suggested the particular tooth paste.

If you don’t have discomfort continue. If you have an allergic reaction please stop and get a consult done. (Go back to using your old paste-if incase of an allergic reaction)
