There could be several reasons for experiencing stiff neck, including poor posture, muscle strain or sprain, cervical spondylosis, and cervical disc herniation. It is important to identify the underlying cause of your stiff neck to determine the appropriate treatment. If poor posture is the cause, you can try correcting your posture during work, and taking regular breaks to stretch and move around. If muscle strain or sprain is the cause, rest and gentle exercises can help alleviate the symptoms. Applying heat or cold therapy to the affected area can also be helpful. If the cause is related to cervical spondylosis or cervical disc herniation, your doctor may recommend physical therapy, medications, or even surgery, depending on the severity of your condition. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause of your stiff neck and develop an appropriate treatment plan.
