Steam for kids
Hello doctor, in this pandemic For 5year old kid which steam is good to take precautions to covid.. Please reply

It is not a precautionary measure whereas home stay ,social distancing and sanitization are the only vital measure for prevention. In case of nasal block you may use simple steam or waaf with caution in children

Do not use steam as precautionary measure ..It is not needed if child doesn't have any symptoms..If cold is there you can use hot water

Steam is not a precautionary measure otherwise this wdnt be a pandemic. There is no sideeffect but be carefull not to cause burns with hot water

Dint Understand what do you mean by which steam. if you’re just asking about regular steam hot water on the stove is good enough.If your child has a stuffy nose please add vicks or eucalyptus oil to the steam.
