STD risks from dental abscess
The patient had a RCT done after which he has developed an abscess near the root of the tooth. He has been advised to keep a watch and approach for further treatment if there's pain or swelling in the abscess. The patient is sexually active. In the meantime, does the risk of contracting an STD go up via the oral route for the patient, because of the abscess?

He Who wants to be safe from STDs via oral routs he must ensure that his / her partner has a good oral hygiene. Since oral and genietal epithelium is very thin some risky bacteria and viruses find it easy to penetrate through . So to avoid ending up in trouble after few days , taking care is important.
