If done properly, root canal treatment is supposed to last a lifetime. But there are some cases in which root canal treatment needs to be repeated due to factors like Anatomical parameters, improperly done procedure in the first place, or neglect by the patient causing Re infection. Theoretically speaking, root canal treatment can be repeated multiple Times but that should never be the requirement.
Root canal treatment and implant are two different between modalities which cannot be compared to each other. Root canal treatment is done to save a damaged tooth so that the natural structure is retained for the best oral health. On the other hand, and implant is a method to replace a lost tooth structure.
So practically speaking it is not possible to compare root canal treatment with implant.
