Abscess on the RCt treated tooth
I am 32 yr old ,I am getting a recurrent abscess in the tooth which is Rct treated and restored with cap.
The abscess subsides on its own.A dentist did drainage in that area.But I am still concerned if it relapses.
Kindly suggest what would be the best treatment.please see the xray attached.

First, the RCT treated tooth should be retreated. The abscess will occur again. Depending on condition of tooth and bone, either it can be retreated with RCT or it can be better extracted , wait for 1 month and go with implants.

Please visit an Endodontist, take X-ray confirm the treatment option and then proceed.

Kindky post a latest digital x ray. This x ray is not clear and does not show all necessary details.
There is bone loss, infection and the root canal filling seems to be excess.
Re RCT or extraction maybe required.

Your X ray is not very clear. However it looks like one of the canal filling is overextended. Either that, or constant leakage from the canal could be the reason of recurrent abscesses. This a a case of a failed RCT.
Get a proper X ray, and if the bone conditions allow, plan a re-RCT for the tooth.

Hello , ur x ray is not good u need to take another x ray . There is bone loss and ur interradicular space is not clear . U can upload d pick of ur xray so that I can guide u further . And comment abt the prognosis of ur tooth .

Please upload a clear X-ray. There is bone loss in one of the roots ( could be an Endo perio lesion or vertical root fracture. Another root looks to be over obturated.
Re rct may be required if at all we plan to save the tooth. A cbct scan along with clinical examination may be required to diagnose the pathology and form a treatment plan based on prognosis of the tooth.
