Springer Ankle
I heard a pop sound when I twisted my ankle while doing some work. The Ground was uneven and I think I twisted while I was stretching for a pipe.
There was a light swelling near the Ankle bone immediately with pain.The pain while walking not completely unbearable and I can walk limping.
I have pain from ankle upwards when moving the leg (5-6 inches ).
I cannot rotate my legs completely without pain but my fingers on legs are moving .
Main area of pain is near ankle and upwards.
How bad is the situation and do I need surgery for this?
Swelling is primarily around the ankle bone .

- Get an x ray done first of all, Ankle AP and lateral
- do Ice packs
- limb elevation
- rest
- consult after x rays
