It's not uncommon to feel a bit awkward when it comes to expressing affection, especially towards a parent. Consider starting small by finding simple ways to show your care. You can begin with a smile, a kind word, or a small gesture like making him a cup of coffee or tea. Gradually, as you get more comfortable, you can progress to bigger gestures like giving a hug or expressing your feelings verbally. Building a more open and affectionate relationship takes time, and that's completely okay. Take it at a pace that feels comfortable for both you and your father. As you start incorporating these small acts of affection, you may find that it becomes more natural over time. Genuine connections develop gradually, and by taking these small steps, you're nurturing a healthier and more fulfilling relationship with your father.
