Sleeping problem
I am a student of class 12th medical. I always sleep much more than 8 hours. Sometimes i sleep 12-13 hours also. I want to stop this habit. I just want to sleep 7 hour per day. I always feel sleepy. When i open my book, i feel very sleepy. How can this will be possible? Please help me. What i have to do for this..?

Get yourself checked for thyroid and serum vitamin b 12 by a physician. If all the physical investigation are normal then you can consult a psychiatrist who can prescribe psychostimulant

You are not the only one, Books make lot of student drowsy. Academic subjects (esp theoretical) may not be stimulating or interesting causing sleepiness. To decrease the hours of sleep , take small naps of 15-30 mins in between, when body signals to break the routine. You also may get TSH levels tested.
