Clonazepam for anxiety is like taking paracetamol for fever, it does not address the underlying cause of altered neurotransmitters. It should have been treated with SSRIs or SNRIs, consult a psychiatrist and get proper treatment. Clonazepam being a benzodiazepine has significant long term side effects.

Your insomnia is most probably due to inability to relax due to anxiety. You need to learn relaxation techniques and meditation. It is not good to use clonazepam for such long period of time. Please visit your psychiatrist and discuss addition of other non addicting medication for sleep and you can try therapy from a psychologist for your anxiety.

Looks like you’ve developed a dependence on Clonazepam, you would need to go to a Psychiatrist for a plan to taper and stop the medication and get help for sleep issues.
