My father has developed a rash/allergy-like skin issue on his leg. I’m attaching a photo for reference. Could you please have a look and let me know what it could be? Does it look more like an insect bite, an allergic reaction, or something else?
Dr had advised doppler test, that came out okay. He had undergone CABG Surgery in 2018. But they couldn't evaluate further. Then dermat said, this doesn't look like cellulitis and baseline investigations are to be done. As of now, we have got no conclusion.
For history/info: he recently changed his
diabetes and BP medications. He is also currently taking antibiotics for an intestinal infection, including Rifagut (rifaximin) and some other medicines.
Could any of these medicines be causing the rash? Please advise if he needs any treatment and which domain can help address this problem accurately as doctors still haven't been able to diagnose it.
