Right now I have no infection looking on inner part of my lips when I had this habit sometimes my lips due to biting bleeds a little. -Stress and anxiety are typically related to lip biting. -A malocclusion refers to a condition in which your bite is misaligned. This could make you more likely to bite your lip. -TMJ disorder is a group of conditions that result in pain and dysfunction in the TMJ. This is the joint that connects your lower jaw to your skull. It can also cause people to accidentally bite their lip. -If your lip biting is something you’re doing to relieve stress or gain some sense of pleasure that feels out of your control, seek out a mental health counselor.
Next Steps
If your lip biting feels accidental, see a dentist. They can evaluate whether you might have a dental condition that’s causing you to bite your lip.

Yes, if you would have continued hurting your lips, the cuts and fissures caused due to trauma might have deepen and exposed to several infections. It' s good that you noticed this very early and stopped doing it.

Consistently biting the inner skin of your lips may cause irritation, inflammation, and minor bleeding. It is possible that the repeated trauma to the delicate tissue of the lips can lead to small sores or ulcers, which may be prone to infection if not properly cared for. However, since you mentioned that there is currently no infection or visible issues, it is a positive sign. By stopping the habit and allowing the tissue to heal, you give your lips a chance to recover. To promote healing and prevent future complications, consider the following tips: Avoid biting or picking at your lips. Keep your lips moisturized with lip balm to prevent dryness and cracking. Practice good oral hygiene, including gentle brushing of your lips during your regular dental routine. If you notice any signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, or persistent pain, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional for an evaluation. Remember, it's always best to seek professional advice from a dentist or healthcare provider who can assess your specific situation and provide appropriate guidance based on your individual needs.

It’s good that you have become aware of your bad habit of lip biting. Awareness and acceptance is the first step towards getting rid of it. From now on, it can only get better. Lip biting can cause injury, inflammation and infection of the lip mucosa that can delay healing of the wound. Since the lip biting habit has not caused any chronic problems/ symptoms, you can relax and stop worrying.
Next Steps
Get a check up done in case the habit returns since malocclusion/ mal-alignment of teeth as well as TMJ problems can be there or it could be due to anxiety and stress too.
Health Tips
Nothing to worry. Stay aware and do not fall back into the habit again.
