Shoulder stiffness after Bankart Repair
I had undergone Bankart and Hillsachs lesion repair on my right shoulder around mid of September 2017. It’s been almost 5 months now but still if feel stiffness and pain. Also I can’t able to raise my hand overhead after some point. Kindly advice me how to overcome this stiffness. Thanks in advance.

• Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment shoulder is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the shoulder with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

Hi, Physio is the main treatment for stiffness. Sometimes it will take 9 months to 1 year to get good movements.

Shoulder stiffness after surgery is very common. It can be overcome by physiotherapy and excercise. It will take some more time to get complete movement at the shoulder. And there are high chances of getting some residual stiffness there after.
