There are few factors which causes pain in shoulder. Ask to check his posture while on work, any jerk, range of motion untill where he can lift the hand up and side back. If there is any sudden jerk or his posture is improper while on work then he needs to take electrotherapy for few days to reduce shoulder pain. Visit nearest physiotherapy clinic and get assessed for the same.
