Shoulder dislocation
My husband sometimes has shoulder dislocation. It usually happens once in approx. 4-5 months or so.. He has been having this problem since couple of years. Earlier it was very rare, sometimes once a year or so but now it has become more frequent. This dislocation episode usually last for few seconds, wherein the pain is unbearable, later it subsides and he faces some pain for a couple of days. At present he isn't taking any medications etc for this problem.

Hi dear
Going by your history your husband has got an anterior shoulder instability.
However there are a few important things missing in your message:
1. How did he dislocate the very first time and how old was he at that time?
2. Who reduced the dislocation the first time and subsequently...as in if he reduces the shoulder by himself from the first episode itself or has he been manipulated by a doctor ?
3. Also need to know if he dislocates in sleep?
4. Lastly his medical history is important..as in if he has got any medical problems for which he is taking any medicines?

Seems habitual dislocation of shoulder,
Any history of drug abuse / alcohl ,.seizures .
Any x ray / MRI shoulder.
