Should i continue thyroid pill
My wife was diagnosed with hypothyroid during pregnancy checkup. From then on she is on medication of 25 mcg thyronorm. Now the baby is 9 months old and we had this thyroid test recently. The test values are. T3 1.1, T4 8.78 and tsh 3.67. Shoukd she continue taking the pills.

To continue the thyroid medication depends upon the follow up. As off now try to continue the same medication. Try to repeat after 3months and see.

Try to take medicine on empty stomach. After 45mins take your refreshments.

You should be in regular follow up with her primary physician .. Requirement of medicine depends on many things.. including sign and symptoms. Although she is maintaining normal status..

Consult  your  physician  who  started  the  pills . Reports  seems  normal . Thyroid  ptoblem  may  or  may  not  be  continued  after delivery . But  as  she  is  breast  feeding  you  need  to  consult  your  doctor  and  with  regular  follow  up. Mother  thyroid  hormones  directly   affects childs  growth. So  take  care.
